This report demonstrates how our sustainability vision is reflected in our business activities and shows the progress we have made in this direction. It provides detailed information on the measures we have taken to reduce our environmental impact, activities we have carried out to contribute to society, efforts to educate and raise awareness among our employees, and much more.

Our Sustainability Approach and Practices

At Side Sun Hotels, without compromising the comfort of our guests, we aim to control the consumption of water, electricity, energy, chemicals, and the amount of solid waste, minimizing potential damage to the environment and natural resources. In line with the principles of sustainable tourism, the measures we have taken have reduced the use of natural resources, and applications have been updated to minimize, and where possible, eliminate damage to the soil, water, and air.
Our hotel implements a long-term sustainability management system that covers quality, environment, health, safety, human rights, social, cultural, risk, and crisis management, and drives continuous improvement. Our facility ensures the principles of sustainability are upheld in an open, transparent, professional, reliable, and fair manner.

Side Sun Hotels commits to respecting all internationally recognized human rights and complying with all relevant legislation and agreements in this regard. Accordingly, we treat all our guests and employees equally, regardless of race, color, gender, religion, beliefs, age, social and marital status, family origin, or physical or mental disability.

 

Accessibility for All

The spaces and activities within our facility are designed to be accessible to individuals with disabilities, in accordance with the nature of the operation.
In this regard, we support the employment of disabled personnel at our facility.
Our hotel provides 2 specially designed rooms and 3 restrooms for disabled guests.
The entrances to the spaces within the facility are designed with wheelchair-accessible widths.
The walking paths are wheelchair-friendly, and there are ramps with gentle inclines.
The elevators are wide enough to accommodate wheelchairs.
Our hotel staff is ready to offer all necessary assistance and provide special services to meet the needs of disabled guests during their stay.

At Side Sun Hotels, the guest experience is constantly being renewed, focusing on current conditions and the changing consumption culture, including sustainable elements.
Guest experience analyses are conducted, and based on the feedback we receive, we direct our investments to improve the areas that our guests request.

In order to be respected in the world, we are committed to being respectful to both the environment and humans. Without compromising the comfort of our guests, we aim to control the consumption of water, electricity, energy, chemicals, and solid waste, minimizing potential damage to the environment and natural resources. Through the measures we have taken in line with the principles of sustainable tourism, we have reduced the use of natural resources and updated our practices to minimize, and where possible, eliminate damage to soil, water, and air.
We are aware of the limited nature of our energy resources and follow our consumption data to support lower energy and water consumption, raising awareness among our employees, and ensuring the continuous improvement of energy efficiency. In order to prevent environmental harm, we assess our waste and hazardous waste in line with recycling principles, ensuring they do not pollute nature. We also take care to protect local plant and animal species.

Communication

At Side Sun Hotels, we aim to develop and improve our sustainability efforts by sharing them with our stakeholders and ensuring their participation in our efforts. We carry out our activities to ensure sustainable development by involving our stakeholders:
   • Employees: One-on-one meetings, group meetings, training and workshops, performance evaluations, career development meetings, activity reports, and surveys.
   • Guests: Guest Satisfaction Surveys, Request Forms, Environmental Surveys, Feedback Forms, Social Media.
   • Suppliers: Procurement specifications, supplier audits, Performance Evaluation System, meetings, and discussions.
   • Public Institutions: Meetings, information requests (if necessary), activity reports.
   • Universities and Academics: Internship programs, conference participation, scholarships.
   • Press: Interviews, press releases.
   • Local Communities: Social Projects, information requests (if necessary), activity reports, meetings.
 

Environmental Action Plan Year - End Evaluation

At our facility, there are recycling bins available throughout all areas for packaging waste. Sorting, collection, storage, and sending to a recycling company for recovery have been arranged.
Our non-hazardous waste is delivered to the licensed Packaging Waste Collection and Separation company under contract with the Manavgat Municipality.
All biodegradable waste generated at our facility is separated starting from the kitchen section.
Staff training has been provided regarding the efficient use of devices, and procedures have been explained. Information regarding the proper use of electrical devices is available, and the Purchasing Department, together with other departments, evaluates energy, water, natural gas, and other consumption data when purchasing new equipment. The Purchasing and Technical Departments carry out the necessary studies.
A sustainability report is prepared for all activities and shared with the public.
